A New Jersey attorney, Peter Jacoby (former in-house counsel for AT&T) is such a wife batterer--beating his wife so badly, that Jacoby has a felony conviction. Jacoby did a year on a 3 year sentence of incarceration and he served a prior 3 month law license suspension. After trying to kill his poor battered wife, the New Jersey disciplinary authorities really came down hard on him this time, a one year suspension! God only knows what he would get if he kills her? Two years?
